- ABSTRACT The developments known as salutogenic have highlighted the importance of reducing the chances of getting ill through a reorientation of psychology to address the potential human health, emphasizing on those factors considered protective, which not only promote the healthy conditions and states in normal conditions but also -and fundamentally- they contribute an active capacity for coping and overcoming difficult situations (Antonovsky, 1988; Casullo, 2006; Contini de González, 2006; Martínez Festorazzi, Galarza, Posada & Castañeiras, 2009; Seligman, 1998). From a salutogenic perspective, this empirical study investigated the relationship between attachment styles and psychological capital in an adolescent sample. The IPPA and CAPPSI Scales were collectively administered to a sample of 569 adolescents aged between 15 and 18 years old that attended to different public and private schools from the city of Mar del Plata. The preliminary results show significant relationship between the secure attachment style and cognitive and bonding capacities and abilities.
