Match Point : variación perversa de A place in the sun.

El film Match Point ha sido considerado como continuación temática de otro anterior de Woody Allen, Crímenes y Pecados, tomando como referencia la acción llevada adelante por el personaje de Chris Walton, comparándola con la del oftalmólogo compuesto por Martín Landau. Sin perjuicio de esta lectura, se puede constatar que Match Point está inspirado en A place in the sun, un film de 1951 dirigido por George Stevens, del cual constituye una suerte de doble negativo. El presente artículo, apéndice del análisis del film de Stevens, establece ese paralelo fundamentando la relación que existe entre las estructuras de la neurosis y la perversión.

Match point has been considered a thematic sequel of a previous Woody Allen film, Crimes and Misdemeanors, taking as reference the action carried out by Chris Walton and comparing it with that of ophthalmologist, Martin Landau. Notwithstanding this, it is evident that Match Point is inspired on A place in the Sun, a 1951 film directed by George Stevens, which constitutes a sort of double negative. This article is supplementary to the analysis made of Steven’s film, basing this parallel on the existing correlation between the structures of neurosis and perversion.
