| Nota de resumen, etc. | La recepción del diagnóstico de VIH puede tener un impacto emocional significativo; generando emociones negativas y displacenteras intensas, con un efecto adverso en la salud y el bienestar. Con el fin de explorar las emociones asociadas al diagnóstico y analizar las creencias y sentidos vinculados a estas, se realizó un estudio cualitativo. Se concretaron 15 entrevistas a personas con VIH del Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires (AMBA), que fueron codificadas, analizadas y sistematizadas. Los resultados demuestran que, frente al diagnóstico, los participantes experimentaron, principalmente, emociones de tipo depresivo y ansioso y emociones acompañadas de carga o valor moral, entre otras. Cada tipo se apreció asociado a un conjunto de creencias, percepciones y sentidos específicos. Se discuten las implicancias de estos resultados en el diseño de intervenciones psicosociales y psicoterapéuticas orientadas a contener y acompañar a los sujetos durante y después de la recepción del diagnóstico y favorecer su aceptación. |

| Nota de resumen, etc. | The reception of an HIV diagnosis can have a significant emotional impact; generating negative and distressful intense emotions, with an adverse effect on health and well-being. A qualitative study was conducted to explore the emotions associated with the diagnosis and analyze the beliefs and meanings linked to them. Fifteen interviews were carried out with people with HIV in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA), which were codified, analyzed and systematized. The results show that, after the diagnosis, participants experienced, mainly, depressive and anxious emotions and emotions with a moral value, among others. Each type was associated with a set of specific beliefs, perceptions and meanings. The implications of these results in the design of psychosocial and psychotherapeutic interventions aimed at containing and accompanying the subjects during and after receiving the diagnosis and favoring their acceptance, are discussed.<br/> |
